Kaka future – Chelsea or Real Madrid?
Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has made a last-ditch bid to scupper Kaka’s move to Real Madrid. After he have agreed for a transfer to the Spanish giants in a £62m deal. New Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti tried desperately to bring Kaka with him from AC Milan to Stamford Bridge, after an eight-year stint as Milan and Kaka boss. He made a personal appeal to Kaka by telephone this afternoon, asking him not to sign for Real until the two have had a chance to meet.
Kaka former boss Ancelotti,is desperate to bring his star striker from Serie A along with him. But this afternoon Chelsea insisted reports of the £73.5m offer for Kaka were “totally untrue”. “We’ve never made an offer to AC Milan for Kaka,” said a Chelsea statement. “As a consequence we have not discussed a salary with the player either. Any reports to the contrary are totally untrue,” added the Blues statement. It had been claimed that Kaka’s father and agent Bosco Leite had already sealed the deal in Madrid, with Italian Prime Minister Berlusconi admitting the player may move because “they have offered him so much money”. Moreover the 27-year-old had not yet put pen to paper on the lucrative Real deal, giving Chelsea the last-minute opportunity to step in, if Carlo Ancelotti real want to land him at Stamford Bridge. I hope Manchester City will not come up with a counter £100m bid and a weekly wage of £500,000 for Kaka again.
Kaka had flown to Brazil on Monday to prepare for the next round of World Cup qualifiers. But while all parties were apparently happy and ready to conclude matters, Brazil officials announced today that they would not be releasing Kaka from international duty to sort out any club affairs.
