Manchester United Sir Alex Ferguson have ask squad to make history when they travel to Portugal for the away leg of their quarter-final clash against Fc Porto. The Scot wants his team to return from the Estadio de Dragao with a win – something no Premiership League side has previously mustered.

FC Porto battled to a thrilling 2-2 draw at Old Trafford on Tuesday and will now have the comfort of two away goals to protect itself with. Speaking to Metro, Sir Alex Ferguson said, “It is a difficult job now, not made any easier when they tell you no British team has won in Porto. But we only have ourselves to blame. We just have to win. We have been first at everything at this club. Let’s hope we can be first again to win in Porto.” He continued by mentioning that Porto’s last-gasp equaliser was a goal that United could ill-afford to concede. “You have to think the last goal was one we could not afford to lose,” he said. “It was a terrible goal to give away when you are 2-1 up and seeing the game out.”

Manchester United, Edwin van der Sar and a continuously changing rearguard attracted accolades for the manner in which they kept clean sheet after clean sheet in the Premiership League, accumulating over 22 hours worth of shut-outs, but they have now conceded in each of their last four games.
